Personal (Writer) Coaching --
Coaching is offered either online, via Skype or email, or by phone, with an old-fashioned conversation and time for a good cup of tea. It can even be in person in certain cases and locales in the world. You will come away encouraged, inspired, and clear-minded about your next task in making your work on this project shine. Coaching gives you, the writer, a caring mentor to whom to report your progress and an encouraging coach from whom you can count on receiving, well, encouragement, problem-solving in your work, as well as an expert eye in getting your work ready for publication. Our coaching service is reasonable, efficient, and perhaps the best investment in getting your project polished of any type of "consulting" currently available in indie publishing. One-on-one coaching can also be arranged in person in the Rocky Mountain West, New York, Boston, and in areas of the UK and the EU with sufficient planning. Rates are very reasonable and much cheaper than therapy or counseling to sort out the reasons why you are not making progress on — or feeling successful in — your dream of writing your book(s) and in finding your unique voice! An initial, free 20-minute contact and conversation about the scope of your work is how we start, to ensure a good fit between writer and your coach. After that, if it feels to be a good fit between us, an initial 3-hours is the required minimum and can be split into hour, or shorter 20- or 30-minute check-ins, as works best for you. Payment can be arranged by credit and in installments if needed. The initial 4-hours is $300. Coaching can be offered hourly after that if you wish, as fits your project best at $85/long hour (60-75 minute "hours", as the work commands, rather than a therapeutic 50-min hour) and of course, all hours can be divided into 20 or 30-minute check-ins on different days as you prefer. |
Mentoring --
Mentoring is a little different than coaching.
Coaching is project specific, helping you to achieve your book or work in the most efficient use of time, beginning to end. Mentoring is multiple-project wisdom and advice for you and your writing career. It's a chance to talk with an experienced writer, Editor and Publisher who is actually listening and is interested in the development of your voice, your career, your direction, as well as in the projects that help you fill in the details of your Vision as an Artist and Writer. Stuck between books? Not sure which or what to do next? Blocked and can't admit it to anyone? This is where your Mentor steps in to listen, observe, encourage and offer feedback on what's next, or not working, or could be working for you. It's cheaper than psychotherapy, akin to coaching, but far, far more productive in helping you to decipher the 'Next' moments of your work and life as a writer and as a person with a Voice and a Vision to give to this world. We can meet via Skype, phone, email, or in person by prior arrangement and, if in the Rocky Mountain or parts of the UK, personal office hours are even available. Cost? Per hour, as needed: $85/long hour (60-75 min) and able to be broken into 30-minute sessions. Value? Priceless, as the saying goes. Again an initial, gratis 20-minute conversation regarding scope, need and thoughts is free and necessary to begin. If we decide to work together, Mentor to Mentee, you'll want to contract an initial 4-sessions ($300) as mentoring is a multi-week or multi-month agreement: You agree to show up and do the work; we agree to help you achieve the goals you've set forth in your magnificent work as a writer. Some authors seek weekly check-ins of twenty minutes; some seek daily when in crisis. We can do that! Please enquire on the Contact page for further information suited specifically to your situation. |
